Student Life
Student Life

It's quite fitting that Georgia Tech's mascot is a yellow jacket named Buzz because our campus is an energetic, lively place "buzzing" with activity. There are many activities available for Tech students to participate in during their free time. They can meet engaging classmates, interact with supportive faculty, participate in community service projects, and find multiple opportunities to get involved and develop their leadership skills. Students also have countless opportunities to express themselves artistically, from music to theater to student publications and media.

Student Organizations

Georgia Tech has more than 300 academic and social organizations. Many of these organizations help students build a network of industry contacts for internship and career opportunities.

Greek Affairs

From Alpha to Omega, Georgia Tech is home to a thriving Greek system that is involved in all facets of campus life. With more than 24 percent of undergraduate students belonging to more than sixteen sororities and thirty-eight fraternities, Greek life provides countless opportunities for philanthropy, academic enrichment, and fun.

Imaginative Minds

Georgia Tech has a variety of venues that offer creative outlets for students, including Under The Couch, which features fun events such as open-mic nights, concerts, and DJ showcases; and DramaTech, a student-run theater that has a lot happening both onstage (plays, variety shows, improv comedy, and more) and backstage (set construction, lighting, costuming).
