It's quite fitting that Georgia Tech's mascot is a yellow jacket named Buzz because our campus is an energetic, lively place "buzzing" with activity. There are many activities available for Tech students to participate in during their free time. They can meet engaging classmates, interact with supportive faculty, participate in community service projects, and find multiple opportunities to get involved and develop their leadership skills. Students also have countless opportunities to express themselves artistically, from music to theater to student publications and media.
Georgia Tech has more than 300 academic and social organizations.
Many of these organizations help students build a network
of industry contacts for internship and career opportunities.
