Tech Goes Gree
Tech Goes Green
Whether in the realm of research, policy, or practice, members of the Georgia Tech community are recognized leaders in the field of sustainability. Tech is one of eleven universities to receive a top score of 99 for green efforts from The Princeton Review.

Georgia Tech has several institutional environmental sustainability programs that embrace green cleaning, solid waste recycling, drought-tolerant vegetation, and storm water capture and reuse. Tech received the 2008 American Forest & Paper Association College and University Recycling Award as well as the 2007-2008 Green Cleaning Award presented by American School & University magazine. Additionally, Tech has been designated a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation.

In 2008, Georgia Tech launched Green Buzz, a Web site that serves as a central resource to inform, showcase, promote, and encourage green behaviors, activities, initiatives, and events within the Tech community. You can learn more by visiting www.gatech.edu/greenbuzz.
